Computer Course Tipperary Inst.

Day:1

In the morning we were greeted by Natasha who wisked us into the computer labs and gave us a brief introduction about what we would be doing in the next couple of days. She then brought us to the restaurant, where we met Tanya and she told us to take photographs using the digital cameras, we had to take pictures of our faces, hands, shoes, and what Natasha called "bling", but what she was to take pictures of our gadgets or for the girls there jewellry, I took a picture of my watch. We then came back to the computer labs and uploaded the pictures to the I drive on our computers. After Lunch, we went to the sound room and recorded our voices. We had to talk about our different gadgets, the most popular gadgets were people's phones and ipods. Tanya and Natasha then recorded us speaking about Transition Year and we were told that it might later become a podcast. We all went home with high expectations for the next day.

Day 2

The following morning we were greeted by Nastasha again and brought back to the computer lab. Natasha showed us how to use Adobe photoshop, she showed us how we can resize photographs and still have the quality of photographs. We then were shown how to use the different palettes on the photoshop workspace. We touched up our photos with effects and shadows and added text. After our break, we were all introduced to Bernie Goldbach. He showed us how to use a new website called Flickr which was photo sharing site from Yahoo!.
The site is brillant and Bernie told us that we could make money from using Flickr.
In the afternoon we entered a competition on the internet, the competition was a t-shirt giveaway and we had to leave comments on the firstpartners website. We were then shown a script that we would be recording in the audio room, I had three-four lines and we recorded them for a podcast.

Day Three

In the morning we heard the first rough copy of the podcast that we had recorded the afternoon before. We were then introduced to Mark O'Leary and did some communication exercises.
